All the soldiers who risked their lives to protect our country.
Near friends and family were very weary about their sons/friends.
Zappy days narrowing ahead until that dreadful day.
A poppy can commemorate those brave soldiers who lost their lives.
Cheerless and traumatic nights those daring, brave soldiers had.

I like how you put "lest we forget".
ReplyDeleteI like how you put that they tried to save the country.
Maybe you could make another Anzac poem but with different words.
thank you for the reply next time I might use more descriptive words.
DeleteKia ora Kaeden, have you thought of putting the Māori version in your blog? Where did the ANZAC ode come from? Who was the author? Why did they choose this to be used in commemorative services? Have you read the poem 'In Flanders Field?" Thank you for paying tribute to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Never forgotten.
